I’m happy to invite you to attend this year's annual Inner Strength Fundraising Retreat, Meditation and Breathwork for Inner Peace, on Next Date: TBD.

For the past three years we’ve held these annual events to support The Inner Strength Foundation’s efforts to teach mindfulness to high school students.

This year I’m thrilled to be co-leading this retreat with my colleague Supriya Kini. Supriya is a masterful teacher who will be sharing the Indian breathing practices of pranayama during the retreat.

As the day unfolds you will see how careful attention to our breathing truly does give us access to spirit. Pranayama opens your mind, body and spirit becoming the perfect complement to meditation.

In addition to what you gain on retreat, you will also be providing essential funding for Inner Strength’s efforts to support young people.

This year more than ever, young people need the resilience that mindfulness provides. The toll of the prolonged period of the pandemic has brought tremendous chaos and uncertainty to the lives of teenagers. As many return to school for the first time they are anxious and insecure.

Inner Strength provides inner tools that support young people to understand their emotional experience and cope with the challenges of life. This is a Philadelphia based non-profit, and it is providing a model for intervention that is being imitated in cities across the United States.

I sincerely hope that you will join Supriya and me on retreat, both because of the valuable insight you will gain, and because 100% of your tuition will be donated to The Inner Strength Foundation.

Last year, we were able to raise over $8000 to support this worthy cause. We hope to do at least as good this year.

Please register and if you do, thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Next Date: TBD

Supriya and Jeff will begin the retreat with a few brief words of introduction. After the introduction, Supriya will guide us in pranayama designed to connect you to the deep source of vitality that energizes your mind, body and spirit.

After a short break, Jeff will guide us in a meditation practice specifically designed to continue opening the inner channels that connect us to our spiritual source. In the two remaining sessions we will continue to explore meditation and pranayama, offering more context and deeper understanding of these two time honored practices and how they work perfectly together.

Throughout the retreat you will settle more and more deeply into a profoundly interconnected experience of yourself. You will see how the energy of your body and the consciousness of your mind are two aspects of one being. This will truly be a retreat focused on bringing you to a realization of inner and outer wholeness.

A recording of the retreat will be made available to participants.
